Dr Tan Hong Jin

Dr Jin is a gum specialist or periodontist currently based in TTDI, Kuala Lumpur. He completed his Master of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontology with distinction at the renowned Eastman Dental Institute, University College London (UCL) in 2022. Dr. Jin is accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP) and holds the Certificate of Completion of Specialised Training (CCST) in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry. He is also affiliated with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (RCSEd), where he earned Membership in Periodontics (M Perio) and Membership in Implant Dentistry (M Imp Dent).

From 2022 to 2023, Dr. Jin served as a full-time clinical lecturer at UCL and worked as a Specialty Dentist in the Periodontology Department at Eastman Dental Hospital, UCLH, London. In 2023–2024, he was awarded the esteemed ITI Scholarship, which enabled him to deepen his expertise in Madrid and Santiago de Compostela in Spain. Dr. Jin currently holds the position of honorary lecturer at UCL and serves as a part-time clinical lecturer at the International Medical University (IMU) in Malaysia. He is also an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh’s Diploma in Periodontics. In addition to his academic roles, he has published several research journals, including in the Journal of Clinical Periodontology.

Now based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Dr. Jin established Maison Dental, a private practice focused on delivering exceptional care in periodontology and implantology. His dedication to advancing both clinical practice and education in the field remains central to his work.

He is highly trained in the management of gum diseases. periodontitis, gum recession, soft tissue grafting, bone grafting and dental implants.
